2009 Hong Kong Community Shield

Hong Kong Community Shield 2009 was the first Hong Kong Community Shield. The game was a football match contested by the winners and first runners-up of the previous season's Hong Kong First Division League.
The match was played in Hong Kong Stadium, on 17 August 2009, it was between Hong Kong First Division League 2008–09 winners South China and runners-up Kitchee.
Because of Typhoon Morakot which impacting Taiwan, a part of the earning by tickets would be donated to Hong Kong Red Cross. Another part would be donated to United Christian Hospital.
The game was won by the Kitchee with a 2–0 victory South China. Two goals were finished by Spanish player Albert Virgili and Equatoguinean international Baruc Nsue.
